Hagrid, Harry and the Dursleys are shivering in a small sea battered hut on a tiny island perched atop a rock in the middle of the sea. It’s freezing but then, with a shake of his umbrella, Hagrid lights up a roaring fire.

Don’t you just love sitting beside a gas fire after being cold? The warmth washes over you like God’s own love. Or you know, a fire.

It’s summer and exams are over. Hermione wants to go through her exam papers, for fun, this makes Ron feel ill, so they wander out to the lake and flop under a tree:

There’s half a dozen quotes I could pick about the wonderful squid in the summer. It works so well because I’ve watched 20,000 leagues under the sea and been programmed that great squids wrestle with tin can subs and try and squeeze the life out of humans, pop off our heads and use us as toothpaste. So a friendly one is lovely. I just went home after my exams, I’d much preferred to have paddled in a warm lake tickling a squid.

Why do some fans read HP over and over again? Perhaps the squid is why, in our world they’re dangerous, they might eat you, they’d probably drown you; at Hogwarts they just want some love and play.
